How we use AI

We use AI tools, and we would rather tell you exactly how than have you guess.

Where we use AI

• Recipes and writing. AI helped us develop and write the recipes in our book and draft the text on this site. We read and edit everything before it goes live.
• Images. The food photos and book pictures on this site are AI-generated illustrations, marked with a small "AI image" label. The hardcover book you see in some pictures is a mockup: our books are PDF files.
• Layout and design. AI tools help us lay out the book and the pages of this site.

Where we never use AI

• Numbers. AI never makes up a number for us. Nutrition is calculated from USDA FoodData Central data for the ingredients as listed, and the source is printed on the page.
• Reviews and testimonials. We only show reviews from real customers, with their permission. We never write or generate them.
• People. There is no virtual chef or invented spokesperson. Munchtable is run by real people.
